MTC Showoff 2022 Auditions

Do you have a hidden talent? Sing? Play in a band? Dance? Perform stand-up comedy? You’re invited to audition for the MTC Showoff! 

If you are an MTC faculty or staff member, student, or alumni – we want to see you there.

Join us on Saturday, January 29 at the MTC Airport Campus prepared with your talent of choice. You will be given five minutes to give it all you’ve got!

If musical accompaniment is needed, a keyboard will be provided at the audition. All other accompaniments must be provided by the auditionee. If you are accompanied during the audition, you must also be accompanied during the finale.

  • Please choose a time you'd prefer to audition in the form below. You will be given an audition number upon arrival.

There will be a panel of celebrity judges in an "America’s Got Talent"-style competition at the final performance, and contestants will have the chance to win $1,000 (Biggest Showoff) or $500 (Audience Favorite) and perform on the HT@MTC stage before a packed crowd.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Auditions: January 29 at the MTC Airport Campus
  • Final performers chosen:  February 10
  • Final showcase at Harbison Theatre in front of a live audience: March 26 at 7:30 PM

MTC Showoff 2022 Audition Form

Fill out the form below if you plan on joining us! Physical copies of this form will also be available at the audition if needed. 

What is your affiliation with MTC?
  • A microphone and audio jack will be provided. However, if your device requires an adapter, you are responsible for providing it. 
  • If musical accompaniment is needed, a keyboard will be provided at the audition. All other accompaniments must be provided by the auditionee. If you are accompanied during the audition, you must also be accompanied during the finale. 
  • To increase your chances of being selected, we recommend preparing two different samples of your act. 
  • Please indicate any additional technical needs in the box above.
  • Please arrive during the time you select. Acts will be arranged in order of arrival. Someone will be in touch prior to the audition date if we need to modify this time. 
  • Finalists should expect 2-3 rehearsals to be determined on an individual basis between being selected and the final showcase. 
  • Please make a note of your preferred time slot and any important information above before you hit the "Submit" button below. You will not be able to review your submission.
