MTC Showoff 2025 Auditions

MTC students, alumni, faculty and staff: you're invited to show off! 

Open auditions are Tuesday, January 21 at Harbison Theatre located on the Harbison Campus  from 1 PM - 7 PM. Enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments and connecting with fellow Mavericks during your audition time. Please fill out the form below to pre-register for auditions. 

Out of all auditionees, ten finalists will be selected. Finalists will receive mentoring from local producers to polish their acts and collaborate on lighting, design, and production elements to elevate their performances prior to the final showcase on Saturday, March 15, 2025. There will be a panel of judges in an "America’s Got Talent" - style competition.  Contestants will have the chance to win $1,000 (Biggest Showoff) or $500 (Audience Favorite) and perform on the HT@MTC stage before a packed crowd. There are two opportunities to win our Audience Favorite award and prize, one exclusively for students/alumni and the other for faculty/staff, both valued at $500.

MTC Showoff 2025 Audition Form

Fill out the form below if you plan on joining us! Physical copies of this form will also be available at the audition if needed. 

What is your affiliation with MTC?
  • A microphone and audio jack will be provided. However, if your device requires an adapter, you are responsible for providing it. 
  • If musical accompaniment is needed, a keyboard will be provided at the audition. All other accompaniments must be provided by the auditionee. If you are accompanied during the audition, you must also be accompanied during the finale. 
  • To increase your chances of being selected, we recommend preparing two different samples of your act. 
  • Please indicate any additional technical needs in the box above.
  • Please arrive during the time you select. Acts will be arranged in order of arrival. Someone will be in touch prior to the audition date if we need to modify this time. 
  • Finalists should expect 2-3 rehearsals to be determined on an individual basis between being selected and the final showcase. 
  • Please make a note of your preferred time slot and any important information above before you hit the "Submit" button below. You will not be able to review your submission.
