As South Carolina’s population continues to grow, so does the arts scene. The Midlands is home to several theatres, dance companies, and orchestras.

Harbison Theatre Executive Director Kristin Cobb was recently named in the Free Times 2024 Power List of those who have shaped arts, food, and culture in Columbia. The list honors those who have elevated Columbia to become a destination of choice for tourists seeking a variety of options of food and art.

“I am honored to be included on this list with so many movers and shakers in the vibrant Midlands cultural community,” said Executive Director Kristin Cobb. “Being named to the Free Times 2024 Power List is a special recognition as it shows that the work being done at the theatre is instrumental in the arts scene.  We are so proud of our unique venue that presents shows big and small and provides a special place for local artists as well.”

Harbison Theatre is the premiere intimate performing arts center in the Midlands. The 400-seat venue boasts the most colorful seats in town and has welcome national and international performances. The theatre offers a rotating gallery in the lobby in partnership with the Jasper Project and free on-site parking.
