MALEVO, Argentina’s answer to Stomp and Riverdance, is coming to Harbison Theatre October 13, 2024. This all-male group elevates Malambo traditions with urban percussion and dance. Backed by a live band, MALEVO is a fiery sensation slaying audiences across the globe.
Testing strength and agility, while fusing elements of flamenco, tango and Irish stepdance, MALEVO pushes the Malambo style beyond its limits, giving audiences an extraordinary visual and sensory theatrical experience. Named an official Cultural Ambassador to the National Identity of Argentina, the group has appeared with Latin pop star Ricky Martin, Cirque du Soleil, and on the hit television show America’s Got Talent.
“This show is going to be one of the biggest dance performances that we’ve presented here at Harbison Theatre,” said Kristin Cobb, executive director. “Our stage is known as a special place for seeing contemporary, large dance companies, but this one, with the dancers combined with the musicians is not to be missed! The whole staff here is excited about this experience from the technical aspects to the execution of this exhilarating show.”
