South Carolina Ballet Brings “Romeo & Juliet” to Harbison Theatre

(Columbia, SC) – South Carolina Ballet's acclaimed production of “Romeo & Juliet,” choreographed by the renowned William Starrett, makes its final stop at Harbison Theatre on March 7, offering one last opportunity to experience the magic in the Columbia area.Following a brief run at the Koger Center, this is the last chance to see this production in the Columbia area.  

Choreographed by William Starrett and featuring Principal Dancers Claire Rapp and Joshua Van Dyke as the iconic star-crossed lovers, this famous love story comes to life through the artistry of ballet.

Joined by the entire company of South Carolina Ballet, special guest artists, and supporting cast members, the production also features meticulously crafted costumes, sets, as well as custom backdrops created by S.C. artist Carl Copeland.

“Harbison Theatre is an intimate venue with no bad seats in the house,” said South Carolina Ballet Artistic Director William Starrett. “The theatre’s perfect size allows for a deeper connection to Shakespeare’s masterpiece “Romeo and Juliet” because the audience can see and feel the artists’ emotions up close.
